Here at JI Small Engine Repair, we have a reputation for quality maintenance and repair of, you guessed it, small engines. We cherish our regular local customers while still giving the same level of care to our new customers.
At JI Small Engine Repair we work hard to give our customers a smooth and speedy experience as we understand the value of time and the fact that growing grass waits for no man.
Drop Off/Pick Up Service-
When you cannot bring in a piece of equipment yourself we offer a pickup and delivery option. There is a pick-up fee that varies depending on your distance from us. The prices range from $50-200 round trip If you drop it off yourself we will meet you and help you unload it before getting the information we need to repair your machine and then contact you. If you had your equipment picked up we will go through the same process over the phone. Remember that any information you can give us on what is wrong with your machine, the less time our mechanics will have to spend diagnosing it and so your bill will be less.
How Long Will It Take..
The waiting period can vary (some rare cases require longer) so we do not promise a set time for that reason. The main factor is part availability as we do carry a wide selection of parts but sometimes need to special order which can put us at the mercy of a supplier. If at any time you want to know the status of your machine please feel free to call.
One of the upsides to being a small business is the ability to do right by our customers on a case-by-case basis. However, we do have a few general policies that you should know about.
Credit Card Service Fee: Due to high credit card processing fees, we will be adding 5% to the bill when a credit card is used. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE DEBIT CARDS This policy started 01/1/2020.
Deposits-
This deposit of 50.00 will be used to cover the cost of the mechanic looking over all equipment taken to JI Small Engine Repair. This is Non-refundable! If your equipment needs a repair or part, we will call our customer to see what they would like to do. If they decide it is not worth making the repair the Deposit will not be returned as it pays for the time the mechanic and staff have taken to evaluate the equipment brought in. Customers must tell JI Small Engine Repair the scope of the work they want to be done at the time-of-service ticket write-up. If Said customer has a budget for the repair that must be disgusted at the time of the service tick write up as well. For expensive repairs, a deposit will be required to cover the specially ordered parts used to complete the job. A signature will be required after customers read these policies.
Once repairs are made, we will call or text customers to let them know their equipment is ready for pickup. The equipment must be picked up within 7 days from the notice of being ready for pickup unless other arrangements have been made. If the said equipment is not picked up a fee of $25 a day will be added to the bill owed. After 30 days the said equipment can and will be sold off to pay for the service ticket.
All payments via credit card will have a 5% fee added. DEBIT CARDS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE 5% INCREASE
The Right to Refuse Service; We reserve the right to service. Under federal law, a business has a legal right to decline to provide their goods or services to a customer
Estimates-
While we can very rarely recommend an estimate if you are absolutely, sure that you need a ballpark number before we begin work then we can prepare an estimate. Just bear in mind, that if you don't want your machine fixed after we give you the estimate the deposit will pay for the time spent diagnosing and researching for the estimate. Also, if you do decide to have your machine repaired the estimate will add to the total labor costs. Estimates run $100.00 upfront. If you decide to get the work done the deposit will be used towards the work.
Service-
Mowers when picked up will be started to show that it is in proper working order. We do not warranty equipment picked up once fuel has been added to that equipment. If we find that, the equipment returned has bad fuel, we will charge for the new service. If we find that we have made an error in the repair process, we will be glad to, fix the problem. (This must be done within 15 days of pick up!)

Parts-
Returned parts are subject to 25% restocking fee. Electronic or electric parts are non-returnable.
All payments made with a credit card will have an additional 5% added for processing. Special order parts are Non-Refundable.

If you don't want the hassle of selling your used lawn and garden equipment then let us do it for you. We can sell it at a price set by you or you can let us decide the price. We do our best to get your machine back to you as soon as possible. There is a time where the repair may take the ordering of new parts, this will add more time to the repair.
